Vorfeld trio + Marc Egea estarán tocando el viernes en La Farinera del Clot: Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes, 837 de Barcelona, a partir de las 21'30h.
y Vorfeld trio no son otros que Reinhold Friedl, Michael Vorfeld y Philip Samartzis... que pusieron en marcha el proyecto en Berlín allá por el 2006.

Vorfeld trio + Marc Egea

Reinhold Friedl es de sobra conocido entre los seguidores de la improvisación y el arte sonoro, ha trabajado con tipejos como merzbow, lou reed, Lee ranaldo, phill niblock, helmut oehring, nicolas collins, bernhard guenter, etc... toca el piano directamente sobre las propias cuerdas, "inside piano".
michael vorfeld es un artista visual y sonoro. su obra parte de la combinación de percusión tradicional e instrumentos de cuerda creados por él mismo. en el campo visual se centra en la espacialización de la luz a través de instalaciones lumínicas que combina con capas de sonido de carácter minimalista.
En cuanto a Marc Egea es mas conocido en el terreno de la música tradicional, toca la zanfona y viola de rueda, pero de la misma forma diversifica sus actividades a través de diferentes proyectos de naturaleza muy variada.

y a mayores... uno de propina... Ensemble Draj, en lo que supone una nueva sección "el viernes del atizador", que cada año irán presentando amigos y colaboradores de la estufa con el propósito de descubrir y compartir algo realmente especial.
Todo esto sucede los viernes, entre el 9 de enero y el 3 de abril, en Arrabal de Portillo, y como las plazas son limitadas conviene espabilarse para pillar entrada.

Estará el polifacético músico portugués afincado en Barcelona Alfredo Costa Monteiro. Procedentes del pais Vasco el iconoclasta duo audiovisual Tzesne y Paralux y completa la programación uno de los djs más transgresores y personales : Daoun.

festival son del aire, música internacional de raiz

Esta primera edición del festival son.del.aire se celebra entre el 2 y el 11 de octubre en diferentes puntos de CyL (Valladolid, Zamora, León y Burgos) y pinta bien, ojalá tenga continuidad el próx año... ya que se trata de músicos de nivelazo que raramente se ven en los circuitos comerciales, músicos de distinta procedencia que resumen y fusionan todo tipo de ritmos étnicos y músicas de raiz de la forma mas contemporánea y fuertes dosis de improvisación.

Los alemanes Ensemble Draj, un grupo de inspiración Klezmer; el dúo Ajvar&Sterz, formado por la cantante serbo-bosnia Natasa Mirkovic y el músico austriaco Matthias Loibner; el tunecino Anouar Brahem con su trío representante del nuevo sonido del Al Ándalus; los maestros italianos Rava & Bollani, y su jazz contemporáneo; Fratelli Mancuso, dos hermanos originarios de la isla de Sicilia; el francés Renaud García Fons, autor de temas en los que se funde el flamenco con aires orientales y músicas de folclore de diversas culturas; Luis Delgado, miembro fundador del grupo La Musgaña, afincado en la localidad vallisoletana de Urueña con su proyecto As-Assir –el enigma-, basado en las “muwassahas”, unas pequeñas formas poéticas hispano-musulmanas surgidas hace más de 1.000 años; distintas fusiones de jazz como el trío moldavo Trigonjazz o los españoles Antonio Bravo -tangentes- y Jaime Basulto con "el paño moruno" en el que se funden ritmos flamencos desde un formato próximo a la música de cámara, con aires orientales, balcánicos y de resonancias contemporáneas.

Llega el Festival Medina Sonora.

Éste fin de semana tendrá lugar la sexta edición del festival "Medina Sonora", con un cartel tan guitarrero como siempre y esa habitual mezcla de recurrencia (Doctor Explosión, Tokio Sex Destruction) y otras propuestas (Paco Tiempo, Porco Bravo, Panics, Margarita, No one) que éste año, por suerte, va a estar marcada más por lo segundo.
También podremos disfrutar de algunas de las mejores bandas de la nutrida "movida" musical medinense como: Exkrementes, Kain, Serapia Rap, Noviembre...algunas aún por descubrir y otras nunca suficiéntemente valoradas.
Una de las novedades será que el festival se extenderá durante 6 días más por diferentes escenarios ubicados (por fin!!) en el casco urbano de la villa, acercándose de éste modo a un público "ocasional" y ofreciéndo otra alternativa musical al programa de fiestas de San Antolin.
Por supuesto que sigue habiéndo sitio para acampar, el ambiente sigue siendo familiar y los precios seguirán siendo populares, pero lo más importante, y por lo que éste evento sigue siendo tan esperado...ES GRATIS!

Quema de Medina del Campo 2008.

Este próximo Jueves 21 de Agosto a las 21:00 h, tendrá lugar la conmemoración de la quema de Medina del Campo.
Se trata de un acto que años atras se ha venido celebrando
espontáneamente por los medinenses y que, ésta vez sí,
contará con el respaldo del Ayuntamiento.

Ya el año pasado se hizo un verdadero esfuerzo popular por rememorar dicho hecho histórico.

Será en la Plaza de Segovia y contará con la actuación
del grupo musical voluntario "Los Remeros del
Zapardiel" junto con los "Nietos del Tío Encinas", el
coro de Villanueva, y alguna que otra sorpresa más.

Pero no nos engañemos, en Urones siguen igual que siempre, a lo suyo, teatro, compromiso, imaginación, buen humor y buen hacer.
Este año hay un par de estrenos, "destellos" de Jara Producciones y "Clara y Daniel" obra para niños de los vallisoletanos Azar Teatro.
Pero también mas teatro de calle (a ver si el tiempo acompaña), teatro de sala, danza y música en el corral de Anuncia, una curiosa expo "Cerrato Vallés" o lo que ve Difunto Vallés en su nueva aparición pública.
Y como novedad el curso de imbecilidad "La búsqueda del propio Clown" impartido por els joglars Pep Vila.

6º Focas-Jazz (festival de jazz de Foncastin)

El Viernes y Sábado que viene se va a celebrar la sexta edición del Festival de Jazz de Foncastín, con la estrecha colaboración de la Escuela de Jazz de Nazaret, en Portugal.
Una de las señas de indentidad de éste festival es el caracter distendido y familiar con que se lleva a cabo; algo lógico si pensamos que es totalmente autogestinado por los vecinos del pueblo y que son ellos mismos quienes acojen a los músicos en sus propias casas.
El milagro del "Foncasjazz" vuelve de nuevo éste fin de semana con un cartel más que recomendable.

Exkrementes, 10 añitos!

Si ya sorprende que una pareja, dure más de 5 años, es facil imaginar lo dificil que puede llegar a ser mantener un grupo de rock de 4 miembros durante 10 añitos sin cambiar a penas de formación y saliendo a flote de las necesarias diferencias y demás circustancias propias de cualquier relacción.
El caso es que álgo que comenzó casi como una broma, se ha ido alargando y con el tiempo ha pasado a...seguir siendo UNA BROMA, dado el caracter cachondo del combo tanto en las letras como en las gamberras puestas en escena.
El próximo 11 de Julio celebraran seguir vivos tras todo éste tiempo haciendo el chorra por bares y plazas de media España, y lo harán en el mismo pueblo donde dieran su primera actuación, Villaverde de Medina. Ademas no estarán solos, les acompañarán "Afónicos Perdidos"; banda de rock de Medina de Rioseco ciertamente emparentada con nuestros chicos.
No es exagerado decir que Exkrementes ya ocupan lugar de honor en esa movidilla musical medinense que tantas sorpresas ha dado a lo largo de los 20 útimos años.

Festival de Córdoba Guitarra 2008

Casi se me olvida qe vuelve (como todos los años) el festival más importante del territorio nacional para los amantes de las seis cuerdas. Córdoba ya está afinada para recibir, del 4 al 18 de julio, a una montonera de monstruos de las seis cuerdas y, entre ellos, como novedad, a dos monstruos de las cuatro (bajistas, para entendernos), uno de fama internacional y otro famoso en el terruño: Marcus Miller y Pepe Bao.
Vendrán Chuck Berry, Gary Moore... pero para mí el fichaje estrella es Scott Henderson, qe actuará con su banda de blues el domingo 6.

Y qizá lo más singular de todo sea el concierto con el qe la guitarra de Juan Manuel Cañizares y la Orquesta de Córdoba bajo la batuta del compositor Mauricio Sotelo inaugurarán el festival. Lo qe sonará será "Iberia" de Albéniz y "Como llora el viento", del propio Sotelo. Conociéndolo, promete ser una obra de lo más bailable... si es qe el adjetivo es aplicable a ese género cuyo nombre, "música contemporánea", aceptan resignados los compositores vivos.

La Nau es la antigua Universidad de Valencia y Digital Media viene a ser un foro de debate y punto de encuentro que consta de conciertos de música electroacústica, performances multimedia, ciclos de vídeo, laboratorios de sonido, jornadas-debate... entre el 17 de abril y el 10 de mayo.

la base parte de las conexiones entre el arte actual y las diferentes disciplinas científicas y humanísticas y esto tendrá lugar en varios espacios de la Nau con la colaboración de distintos centros tanto nacionales como internacionales, y por supuesto un montón de artistas de todos los sitios como como Peter Bosch y Simone Simmons, Carlo Bernardini, Monique Bastiaans, Kenji Endo, Federico Campanale, Filippos Tsissopoulus, Andrew Burrell, Ima Picó, Ivo Rovira, Alessandro lo Mónaco, Michael Najjar, Shankar Barua, Lovebytes, Stephana Schmidt, Springer – Parker, o Daniel Palacio, entre otros.
El nexo común de todas las propuestas será utilizar, aplicar y depender del potencial que supone el mundo de la electrónica en varios ejes temáticos: Comunidades virtuales / Redes, Imagen / Tiempo, Entorno sonoro, Imaginarios/Vida artificial, Realidad aumentada/Mixta, Juegos/Código/Programación, Interactividad Online/Offline, Narrativas digitales/ Multimedia.
Todo esto se concreta en un ciclo de Arte Sonoro, un ciclo de Video Arte, un Ciclo de Vj y varias preformances multimedia.
