Saltó a la fama al ganar la sexta edición del Notodofilmfest con ¡Cómo está el mundo, Fermín!, pero Jorge Vallejo (Valladolid, 1979) desde que se graduó en la Escuela de Artes y Oficios de Valladolid, venía trabajando en el campo del diseño y el desarrollo web y realizando story-boards y cortometrajes de animación.

Y su nombre vuelve a sonar con el cortometraje "La castañera de Valladolid", un documental sobre Viviana de Pablo Gurón. La obra se sitúa en un Valladolid navideño cualquiera en el que, como cada año, Viviana "planta" su puesto de castañas entre la Plaza de Portugalete y la Bajada de la Libertad. La castañera comparte con el público de forma espontánea, viva, adorable, humorística pero no exenta de crudeza, las dificultades de un oficio al que ama, de la vida, de la crisis, de las verdades y las mentiras que tienen en jaque a todo un planeta.

y Vorfeld trio no son otros que Reinhold Friedl, Michael Vorfeld y Philip Samartzis... que pusieron en marcha el proyecto en Berlín allá por el 2006.

Reinhold Friedl es de sobra conocido entre los seguidores de la improvisación y el arte sonoro, ha trabajado con tipejos como merzbow, lou reed, Lee ranaldo, phill niblock, helmut oehring, nicolas collins, bernhard guenter, etc... toca el piano directamente sobre las propias cuerdas, "inside piano".
michael vorfeld es un artista visual y sonoro. su obra parte de la combinación de percusión tradicional e instrumentos de cuerda creados por él mismo. en el campo visual se centra en la espacialización de la luz a través de instalaciones lumínicas que combina con capas de sonido de carácter minimalista.
En cuanto a Marc Egea es mas conocido en el terreno de la música tradicional, toca la zanfona y viola de rueda, pero de la misma forma diversifica sus actividades a través de diferentes proyectos de naturaleza muy variada.

No son muy conocidos sus carteles, excepto unos pocos... pero Miró afinaba mucho y especialmente hacía carteles para cosas con las que se sentía directamente comprometido, por ejemplo con sus amigos, con las artes -poesía, teatro, danza, música-, con el deporte, con el Barça y con la vuelta ciclista a Cataluña, con el mundo, el país y Mallorca...
Y es en función a esas áreas que está organizada la exposición.

Aldea DOC

"Aldea DOC" es un documental periodístico cuyo valor reside en el concepto de elaboración.

La idea fue reflejar la situación de Aldea Moret en Cáceres, un antiguo barrio minero, inmerso en una importante degradación social: conflictos raciales, venta y consumo de drogas, abandono institucional, edificios casi en ruina... Para llevar a cabo el proyecto realizaron unos talleres con los propios vecinos de los que salieron cuatro grupos de trabajo que recibió cada uno de ellos un teléfono móvil con los que se dedicaron a grabar entrevistas a la gente del barrio, o sea a sus familiares, amigos y vecinos. Sin los prejuicios y clichés de quien mira sin conocer y la subjetividad de quien cuenta sin saber.

XIX Bienal de Zamora

Everything That Happens Will Happen Today

Se me había olvidado y se trata del nuevo disco de Brian Eno y David Byrne mano a mano, lo cual siempre es noticia y merece por lo menos nuestra atención.
En principio no tiene nada que ver con el mítico "My life in the bush of ghosts" del 81 que remezclarían posteriormente en 2006. Aquel fue uno de esos discos que hacen historia y abren nuevos caminos.
En esta ocasión el proceso y el resultado son totalmente distintos, Byrne hace las letras y canta todos los temas y además les acompañan un buen elenco de músicos con Leo Abrahams omnipresente y colaboraciones de Steve Jones, Paul Saphiro, Phil Manzanera o Robert Wyatt entre otros.

Según explican Eno-Byrne ha debido ser un parto difícil que han estado mas de una vez a punto de abortar... Eno por lo que respecta a la parte musical, composición y producción, que sorprendentemente acometió a golpe de guitarra acústica y Byrne por lo que a las propias letras se refiere.
Y por cierto, Byrne lo anda ya defendiendo en directo... eso si, sin Eno, que no tiene ganas de tours y follones pero si con la ayuda de otros colaboradores y alguno de los que han participado en la grabación, que como no podía ser de otra manera está disponible on line en diferentes formatos, entre ellos este streaming que les agradecemos enormemente.

El brau blau

"El brau blau", presentada a concurso en el último Festival de Locarno, es la película de "moda" en España. Dirigida por Daniel Villamediana (Valladolid, 1975) es una película de apenas una hora de duración, sin diálogos, con un solo actor y unso cuantos textos leídos en catalán, en la que plantea una búsqueda espiritual a partir de un personaje que sueña con ser torero. Se ha llevado a cabo con un presupuesto raquítico y sin un plan de rodaje fijo.

Daniel Villamediana es un crítico de cine metido a director, autor de cortometrajes como "Espacio público" su vida dió un verdadero vuelco cuando escribió para la revista "Letras de Cine" un artículo titulado "Una cierta indecencia en el cine español" a raíz del cual le llamó José María de Orbe para escribir juntos el guión de "La línea recta".

Todos podemos disfrutar mucho gracias a esa gente que graba a idiotas por la calle y después comparte los vídeos en internet. El progreso nos ha traído a todos la posibilidad de hacer muchas risas con documentos de tarados y borrachos haciendo el idiota.

Pero lo más grande es cuando los idiotas ponen en la red los vídeos donde se les ve haciendo sus idioteces. Un ejemplo es el profesor (.pdf) David Harvey, que ha puesto en internet vídeos donde se le ve impartiendo sus cursos sobre "El capital", de Karl Marx. ¡Qué tipo tan ridículo!
