Como ya contamos con Triunfo, la Universidad de Salamanca y la Editorial Pleyades han escaneado, ordenado y clasificado los 213 números del semanario de humor Hermano Lobo (con mayúsculas) que el genial Chumy Chumez impulsará en el 1972. La vi hace unos días y me gustó. Ya se ha hablado mucho de esta peli y del comic, pero vamos... la cosa está clara, si tienes un guión cojonudo, un storyboard ya hecho, dinámico, con todas las escenas y además con fuerza gráfica y muy cinematográfico ¿para que complicarte la vida?... mas aun si lo ha hecho un maestro como Miller, ya tienes mas de media película

Zach Snyder ha entendido eso perfectamente y a lo que se ha dedicado especialmente es al trabajo de producción, que es lo que la da el toque, la parte difícil.
El comix está reproducido viñeta a viñeta, con algunas licencias que vienen bien ya que se trata de información complementaria. El ambiente y los colores se basan en la gama cobriza que utiliza Lynn Warley (compañera de Miller) en algunas partes de la novela gráfica y el resultado plástico final es parecido al de algunos video-juegos de última generación...

En España la estrenaron el mes pasado, con ese título (no se porqué - como si fuera "la película" definitiva) ni tampoco porqué el título original de la cour secrète des arcanes cuando se trata de "Corto Maltés en Siberia"

Tenía la esperanza de que en este caso Pascal Morelli le diera otro aire, pero me quedé dormido, que falta de ritmo, que dibujos tan planos, dibujos animados de serie media, una música malísima de Franco Piersanti... en fin, no es la primera vez que lo hacen, estos últimos años casi casi el mismo equipo ha venido perpetrando ya varias de estas, una detrás de otra, yo piqué como un gilipoyas a final del año pasado justo cuando publicaron un pack en dvd con "la balada del mar salado", "bajo el signo de capricornio", "las célticas" y "la casa dorada de samarkanda"... por eso aviso y desde aquí animo al equipo de producción Therry Thomas, Richard Danto, Liam Saury y los otros que se van turnando... para que lo dejen, por favor, dejenló. Se ha celebrado en Ávila, en este ‘acueducto’ que hemos disfrutado, la 1ª edición de “Encuentros con el Cómic”. Exposiciones, charlas, concursos… y toda una ciudad volcada en lo relativo al comic. Todo esto para lograr que en el año 2008 Ávila se convierta en un referente en esto de los tebeos con la celebración de un Congreso Internacional sobre el Comic.

Jamie Hewlett acaba de recibir el Londres el premio al diseñador del año. Probablemente te suene por ser la mitad visual de Gorillaz, aunque es mucho más que eso. Te contaré que es también co-creador de Tank Girl, una tira cómica sobre una chica punk que tiene un tanque y a un canguro mutante como novio.

Por lo que respecta a Gorillaz hay que reconocer que la idea es genial. Sus miembros son el vocalista y teclista 2D (que se supone que está clínicamente muerto), el bajista Murdoc Niccal (satánico), la niña prodigio Noodle a la guitarra y Russel Hobbs a la batería, producidos por Dan "The Automator" Nakamura, gurú del hip hop. A través de internet puedes seguir todas sus actividades a través de una web-cam, desde el proceso de grabación de los discos a ruedas de prensa y conciertos en directo. Lo último es un diario (a modo de blog) de los miembros integrantes de la primera banda virtual (con permiso de Milli Vanilli) y el aviso de una película.

Bruguera en Ladyfilstrup

Grandes momentos habremos pasado muchos con las divertidas historietas de los comics que la Editorial Bruguera fue publicando desde mediados del siglo pasado.
Incluso están haciendo exposiciones itinerantes con la excusa esta de los aniversarios.
Pero con este post, lo que quiero destacar es el blog Lady Filstrup que día tras día desmenuza a un autor, personaje o situación de los comics bruguereños, siempre con una excelente literatura e intentando en muchos casos que la actualidad interceda en cada entrada. Estupendos.

Artista trasgressivo e maledetto (hay que ver como suena en italiano), y no es de extrañar, allí uno de sus comics, Psychopathias Sexualis, fue prohibido por la justicia.
La muestra se titula "neuroworld" y es una retrospectiva de estos 30 años que incluye un montón de stuff inédito hecho para esta expo romana, carátulas de discos diseñadas para Subterfuge, cosas hechas para el cine y revistas internacionales. (a ver si alguien se anima a montar esta expo por aquí).
