Entre sus creaciones destaca una colección de joyas hechas en plata y cortadas con laser en forma de ondas de sonido, las waveform series, materializadas en pendientes, anillos, collares, broches.
Para ello Sakurako ha grabado diferentes sonidos humanos, toses, risas, bostezos, jadeos e incluso campanas de iglesia, y las ondas resultantes en un software de música las ha transladado a planchas de plata.

"La cabra o ¿quién es Silvia?"

Y ahora un hecho ocurrido en lo más profundo de nuestra España:
Resulta que el pasado 10 de Noviembre se presentaba en el auditorio de Medina del Campo la obra de teatro de Edward Albee: "La cabra o ¿quién es Silvia?", producida por Josep María Pou.
La concejala de cultura de ésta localidad, Silvia Pérez García, intentó entonces que se cambiara el título de dicha obra al interpretar que ofendía a su persona. Desde el ayuntamiento se planteó entonces esa solución y el enfado del señor Pou fué mayusculo al ver que en los programas que se repartieron al público, la obra era titulada "la cabra", a secas.
Finalmente la representación tuvo lugar y la metedura de pata de la concejala ha dado lugar a todo tipo de comentarios.
Seran cosas de la política.

Veo en el siempre interesante pixel & dixel, que Google (más conocido últimamente como Jehova) empieza a darnos pistas de por donde caminará su nuevo proyecto Android.
Un software para móviles, creado en código abierto, por un conjunto de 34 empresas.
En este video hacen ya una primera presentación.
El reto es ambicioso (quieren que esté operativo en el 2008) y para ello, tanto Google como el holding creado para dicho proyecto, ofrecen una recompensa de 10 millones de dólares a la persona u grupo que ofrezca la mejor solución. El certamen se llama 'Android Developer Challenge' y ya está disponible la SDK para trabajar.

A finales de julio Paco Díez daba por inaugurado oficialmente el aula-museo de instrumentos musicales tradicionales ibéricos situado en Mucientes (VA) y en el que lleva trabajando los últimos tiempos.
A la vez anunciaba la puesta en marcha de un nuevo ciclo de música acústica en directo llamado "las 10 y una noches", o sea 11 conciertos que transcurrirán entre septiembre 2007 y mayo 2008 en el propio auditorio del museo...

abreviando 24C3 = 24ªcongreso del chaos computer club, un evento de 4 días que se celebra en Berlín desde 1984, también conocido como the European Hacker Conference y que anualmente reúne lo mas granado de hackers, científicos locos, artistas raros y soñadores-visionarios varios de todo el mundo.

Este año la cosa gira entorno al lema "Volldampf voraus!" que podríamos traducir como "a toda máquina!", como siempre buscando conexiones creativas y poco ortodoxo-convencionales entre tecnología y sociedad.
Esto sucederá entre el 27 y el 30 de diciembre en Berlín, y admiten proyectos diversos, ponencias y tal hasta el 12 de octubre.
Además este año abren un nuevo ciclo dedicado al "making", es decir, todos esos cacharillos electrónicos que uno se inventa en su propia casa y que a veces encierran grandes descubrimientos en ciernes.
Los otros temas en que se divide son :
Hacking, que es el tema estrella, seguridad, software, hardware, criptografía, cosas creativas y tecnología.

comunidad, además de las oportaciones individuales existe este otro espacio para grupos organizados, desarrolladores, activistas, etc... que incluso pueden encontrar ayuda de alguna forma, alianzas o poner proyectos en común.

Todos esos subtítulos lleva la "Expo Les Luthiers" que se puede ver en la sala Cronopios del Centro Cultural Recoleta (Buenos Aires) hasta el 16 sept y conmemora esos 40 años de ironía, música e ingenio.
y como no, el recuerdo al genial Gerardo Masana "el flaco" como padre fundador del invento, fallecido a causa de una leucemia en 1973, cuando el grupo comenzaba ya a saborear el reconocimiento internacional, lo cual le permitió aparcar su profesión de arquitecto para poder seguir construyendo instrumentos imposibles y componer música, afición que le venía de su abuelo, músico catalán, de quien heredó las partituras de la primera obra interpretada por ellos y seguramente su pasión por Gaudí.

Como venimos anunciando desde hace tiempo hoy comienza el festival Son de aquí en Laguna de Duero... creo que la 7ª edición.
Interesante carteluni que abre Germán Díaz que presenta su nuevo disco Õ (OdEL, RI), -es decir, el cedé- y además es el cumple de su socio en "Producciones Efímeras" Fernando Fuentes... o sea ocasión especial.
Luego mas conciertos hasta el domingo, también la feria de artesanía y... ojo... un masterClass de la gran Vanesa Muela que (gracias al Su -santo varón- podemos ver aquí en la tele (calentito de ayer) explicándose divinamente...
