Este año, el festival de Sundance y sus patrocinadores dan la oportunidad a cineastas no norteamericanos de asistir al festival (en Enero) y proyectar su corto. Para ello has de enviar una película (antes del 14 de diciembre) y ganar, claro. Las bases te las cuenta Darren Aranofski en un vídeo aquí. The Great North Run Cultural Programme fue puesto en marcha en el 2005 para celebrar el XX aniversario de la famosa medio-marathón BUPA Great North Run. El Museo Patio Herreriano y la Junta de Castilla y León, en colaboración con Caja España y Oki, convocan la primera edición del certamen Sin Formato, destinado a los jóvenes creadores de la comunidad y con el objetivo de fomentar la creación artística, especialmente en lo que se refiere a nuevas tecnologías y medios alternativos.
Se podrán presentar piezas ya realizadas o nuevas creaciones en todos los formatos: fotografía, fotomontaje, collage, vídeo, animaciones 3D, flash, registro de happening y performances, instalaciones, proyectos de carácter arquitectónico, web sites...El plazo finaliza el 16 de enero de 2009 y el fallo será el 13 de febrero. El domingo 23 de noviembre se celebra por tercer año consecutivo el "día de los bosques autóctonos", impulsado principalmente por ARBA con el apoyo y colaboración de diferentes asociaciones y colectivos de Valladolid

el Cerro de las Contiendas será el escenario en el que se plantarán diversas especies de arbustos y árboles autóctonos, (quejigos, encinas, almendros, rosal silvestre, espino albar, endrino y otros matorrales), en un modesto intento de colaborar con la regeneración de la vegetación propia del lugar, la cita es a las 11h en la plaza elíptica de Girón y habrá un grupo de músicos folk tocando en directo.
Se trata también de aprovechar para recordar los que fueron entonces los planteamientos y peticiones de estos colectivos ante el nefasto anteproyecto de intervención de ayto y Junta en ese espacio.

"La monserga del mal día"; poesía colectiva

La doble cultura burguesa, para las masas y para las élites, obra como un anestésico: promete hacernos eliminar el dolor al tiempo que la memoria. Su cultura nos duerme. Sin embargo, por aquí y allá, no deja de aparecer quien insista en considerar el poema, la canción, la narración, la imagen como una máquina de guerra.

Ese es el caso de algunos miembros del Grupo Arbeit que se obstinan en trabajar juntos para reconstruir una poesía trabajadora, vehículo de la memoria de la lucha, herramienta del enfrentamiento y almacen de las consignas de clase. La nuestra pretende ser una poesía contra los Poetas, un panfleto, una pedrada en el escaparate de la cultura mercantil y burguesa, una palabra no separada de la vida y sus contingencias, donde las emociones no caigan de la indeterminación celeste, sino que se levanten desde la servidumbre terrenal.

3 encuentro cuentacuentos rompenubes

Los días 30, 31 de oct y 1 nov se celebra el 3 encuentro internacional de cuentacuentos que organiza la Asociación Castellanoleonesa de cuentacuentos Rompenuves. esto será en el centro cívico de las Delicias (va), y la convocatoria de inscripción está abierta hasta el 24 de Oct. (ver programación pública y bases)

Este año además proyectarán cortos relaccionados con el mundo de los cuentos y continuarán con las visitas a hospitales y centros de educación especial, así como los talleres infantiles, exposiciones, recitales de poesía, caricaturas e ilustración.
Valladolid es una ciudad abierta que apuesta por la lectura, los cuentos y la cultura por extensión, si bien carece enormemente de una cantera sólida de narradores respecto al resto de comunidades autónomas. Posee sin embargo una sólida, extensa, variada y rica Tradición oral y Folklore aún por rescatar.
Éste es el motivo por el cuál surge con fuerza el afán de la Asociación Rompenubes por potenciar la Tradición Oral perdida de nuestra Tierra, apostando por la integración de las personas en riesgo de exclusión social, trasladando la terapia de los cuentos a aquéllos lugares donde más falta hacen y fomentando el interés y el respeto por los valores éticos a través del mundo de los cuentos, vehículo de transporte y herramienta clave para logro de todas estas premisas.

Lo demuestra en sus anteriores expociones "Animalario" (con la impactante foto de una disección de un ratón), "Mus musculo", o su contribución a la exposición de los frikys en el arte...

Pues el próximo día 23 de octubre inaugura en Madrid la exposición "R-Evolution" que incluye la instalación "Craneozoides I" con la que intenta dar fe (nunca mejor dicho) del sinsentido de la evolución expresado en craneozoides, en el que trata las verdades científicas como dogmas de fe para apoyar la confusión ciencia-creencia.

Lo incluso en la sección "autobombo" dado que yo mismo he participado en una pequeña parte de una pequeña obra. Que os guste.

El premio son 30mil euros destinados a producir un corto, eso si, no admiten remakes ni hostias de films ya realizados, todo tiene que ser material original.
