La Academia de cine ha decidido adelantar una semana la entrega de los galardones a los cortometrajes y dejarles así fuera de la gala de los goya. Los cortometrajistas han entendido esta decisión como un menosprecio a su trabajo. La Plataforma de Difusión de Cambalache Producciones ha señalado en un comunicado que el cortometraje es 'el futuro del cine español' y que este futuro necesita ser cuidado. Como ya sabréis, la Academia ha decidido entregar los premios Goya en las categorías de cortometraje fuera de la gala oficial. Este hecho ha desatado un movimiento de protesta en Internet para hacer llegar a la Academia el malestar de muchos cortometrajistas por el hecho de que el corto sea de nuevo considerado como un género "menor". Por ello, se ha puesto en marcha una página web para recoger firmas en contra de esta decisión, y que se espera que pueda ser el inicio de un nuevo movimiento en favor de la dignificación del cortometraje como formato cinematográfico y audiovisual.
Pienso que vuestra opinión al respecto, como festivales de cortometrajes o que programan cortometrajes, puede ser muy importante y aportar elementos que a los demás se nos pueden escapar. Quiero señalar que lo que se pretende en un futuro es configurar un movimiento donde estén representados todos los sectores relacionados con el corto, por lo que considero vuestra participación doblemente importante.
Por tanto, os quiero invitar a que, los que así lo queráis, entréis en la página web www.indignados.org y añadáis vuestra firma a la carta.
