Hayao Miyazaki, el galardonado director japonés de películas como Mi Vecino Totoro, La Princesa Mononoke o la oscarizada (y ganadora del oso de berlín a mejor película) El Viaje de Chihiro, tras perjurar que se retiraría del mundillo de la animación al finalizar su última película, El Castillo Ambulante, acaba de anunciar que vuelve a la carga con un nuevo proyecto titulado, por ahora, Gake no ue no Ponyo (Ponyo en un acantilado). Poco se sabe del argumento, más que Ponyo es una princesa pez que desea convertise en humana y tendrá algún tipo de relación con el protagonista, Sosuke, un niño de 5 años inspirado en el propio hijo de Miyazaki, Goro Miyazaki, hecho bastante curioso, puesto que su debut como director el año pasado con Gedo Senki hizo que su padre, con quien hace años que no se dirige la palabra, le dirigiera fuertes críticas y se mostrara totalmente en contra del proyecto...

"Tales from earthsea" la película de Goro (el hijo de) Miyazaki se ha estrenado en el Festival de Venecia. Está basada en una novela de Ursula K Le Guin titulada "La costa más lejana". Narra la historia de Terramar, una tierra en la que conviven dragones y seres humanos hasta que una bruja rompe la paz entre ambas especies. El príncipe Arren, que es perseguido por su sombra, se une a una muchacha y un mago para devolver la paz a Terramar. La produce Studio Ghibli, la productora de Hayao (el padre) Miyazaki a pesar de que en su día (como bien decís) acusó a su propio hijo de robarle la idea. Otra cosa: habrá que esperar para el estreno en España dicenq ue hasta el 2009 por problemas con los derechos sobre el "Ciclo de Terramar" ya que incluso hubo una serie de televisión (con Danny Glover de protagonista) sobre esta misma historia.
