Anticipo del festival de cannes
Ya hemos dejado claro otras veces que por aquí no somos muy de festivales internacionales ni de premios glamourosos, pero esta vez no puedo evitarlo. Y es que si hacemos una lista de las películas más esperadas para este año, todas, repito: todas, van a competir en el próximo festival de cannes. A saber:
"My blueberry nights" primera película en inglés de Wong Kar Wai será la encargada de la inauguración. Además podrán ver "Breath" de Kim Ki Duk, "Promise me this" de Emir Kusturica o "Alexandra" de Alexander Sokourov, que espero sea la mejor película del año. ¿Alguién da más? Pues seguimos:
Por otro lado está "No country for old men" de los hermanos Coen con Javier Bardem haciendo de ganster.
Y ya más hacia lo comercial estará David Fincher (el de "El club de la lucha") presentando Zodiac, "Paranoid park" de Gus Van Sant o "Death proof" de Quentin Tarantino.

La Fundación Farabi del cine iraní ha protestado por la presencia en el festival de Cannes de la película "Persépolis", de Marjane Satrapi y Vincent Paronaud: según dice la prensa que dice la Fundación, Satrapi presenta " un cuadro irreal de las consecuencias y éxitos de la revolución islámica" y califica la programación de la película de acto anticultural.
Ni en la web de la Fundación, ni en ISNA, ni en IRNA he podido encontrar el texto de la protesta (en IRNA, en cambio, he encontrado esto-, y en ISNA he encontrado que la gran directora iraní Samira Majmalbaf explicó en Cannes las vicisitudes de su último proyecto: un rodaje en Afganistán
frustrado temporalmente por la explosión de una bomba durante el rodaje).Majmalbaf exhibió parte de lo rodado, aunque con eso de que lleva la cabeza cubierta y tal no pasará por una heroína tan notoria en los medios, ni ella ni su equipo.
Volviendo a Satrapi, espero poder publicar una reflexión en Ladrilio el día que finalice el festival. Aunque en "El País" se cuelan por una rendija cosas muy significativas sobre la evolución de la situación de la mujer en Irán -aquí-,los cronistas en Cannes nos hablan de que la película denuncia la situación de la mujer en Irán, ese país "árabe"... De momento, en "La cárcel de papel" ya se están poniendo gallitos en defensa de la libertad de expresión frente al fundamentalismo. Y las que tendremos que ver.
