Mira, hace unos día recibí este enlace que hace referencia a un artículo aparecido en el NEW Scientist que habla de la modafinila y por lo visto es un estimulante que fue lanzado hace siete años, y que desde entonces parece haber adquirido una reputación casi mítica para mantenerse despierto sin machacarte los nervios, sin provocar euforia y sin que finalmente llegue el típico bajón que provocan otros productos como la cafeína o las anfetaminas.
Puede que finalmente hayan conseguido el mismo resultado a partir de un principio químico distinto. Aunque parece que el objetivo es no dormir -va a ser ideal para estudiantes- no explica si tiene otras propiedades de la anfeta como es la desinhibición (que es por lo que normalmente lo toma la gente) es decir y en otra vertiente, la marchilla. -ojo- otro medicamento muy de moda los últimos años, el prozac, con el que han ganado miles de millones y que toman muchas amas de casa produce también ese efecto.
Mientras tanto los que quieran adelgazar -que es por lo que se recetaban las anfetas antes en España, tipo la dexedrina spansuls o bustaids- lo mismo se van a tener que pasar a la heroina... comercializada por Bayer para combatir la tos en los niños aunque en realidad lo que buscaban era un analgésico potente que sustituyera a la morfina, por eso cuando la inventaron la llamaron así.

si, musikas, para la otra vertiente, falta de concentración y tal, lo que recetaban eran otras marcas mas diluídas, tipo "centramina", muy utilizada por los estudiantes en época de exámenes, mas ligerita y llevadera.

Posteriormente esto evolucionó (finales 80 y principios 90) hacia las drogas de diseño estilo "extasis" con base activa a partir de la metanfetamina y derivados, que con el tiempo se irían sofisticando y especializando según las mezclaban en laboratorio con otras sustancias químicas.
O sea que la anfeta si tiene historia, si.
En el entorno musical, mas bien rock, se ha utilizado mucho tradicionalmente, a veces por la simple necesidad de aguantar el tirón de giras, marchas y bla bla bla, otras solamente por colocarse y pillar marchilla, tanto para estar encima de un escenario como para ver un concierto y botar como un loco.
Ha habido casos muy famosos, ej, Lou Reed y John Cale en la primera época Velvet Underground, Mick Jagger y un montón de gente.
William Borrougts explicaba muy bien en el "yonki" y "el almuerzo desnudo" como destilar algunos fármacos para conseguir solo la anfeta o bien los componentes opiáceos...
En los últimos años buena parte de los consumidores potenciales se pasaron a la coca al bajar bastante el PVP, los precios de mercado.
