La publicidad al rescate
Los que -por mandato de nuestra secta- vemos televisión, llevamos como un mes relativamente asombrados por el anuncio del portal www.sostenibilidad.com, emitido en horarios de máxima audiencia. El anuncio pretende presentar un dilema: los ecologistas dirían, según el anuncio, que si todo el mundo tiene aire acondicionado, ordenador con ADSL, nevera y otros beneficios del progreso, los recursos naturales se degradan y “la civilización” se derrumba; la economía diría que si todo el mundo renuncia a esos bienes, las empresas dejan de funcionar y “la civilización” se derrumba. En cualquier caso, un mal futuro.
Sucede que tras el anuncio y el portal anunciado, tan preocupado por estas complicaciones, está la empresa Acciona (sí,esa). Un interesante ejemplo más de cómo el discurso legitimador de esta empresa y de otras sale también, y cada vez más, de la rumia de discursos que el mundillo alternativo creía que se pudrían, estancados, en sus márgenes-.
El mundillo alternativo, siempre tan poco atento a eso que se llama paso del tiempo, expresa cierta sorpresa: el discurso del anuncio tiene suficiente trampa como para no ser totalmente alternativo, pero el mundillo reconoce que "se refiere a problemas reales". ¿No habíamos quedado en que la publicidad ocultaba los problemas reales? El mundillo alternativo no tiene en cuenta que las jubilaciones y los ataques cardiacos imponen su ley de sucesión, y que parte del mundillo alternativo, entrenada en las vueltas del discurso que iba a cambiar el mundo, alcanza la hipermayoría de edad y va ocupando vacantes, descubriendo que no es tan malo ser malo. No es de extrañar
que ante tanto descoloque, algunos y algunas se pongan a estas horas las mangas verdes de la reivindicación de la República y las nacionalidades históricas.
Algo de esta sucesión se notó ya en el Forum de las culturas de Barcelona. Si en esencia el evento era otra Expo92 -a mayor gloria de los beneficios inmobiliarios y del "chicle y circo"-, se intentó sin embargo quitarle la costra hortera felipista dándole un tono "alternativo", con escasos resultados.

Parece que para el siguiente round están preparando mejor la receta del Zotal anticostra y modernizante: el round será la Expozaragoza2008 sobre la cultura del agua, nuevo tejemaneje con ropaje ecológico para mejor beneficio de promotoras inmobiliarias; y la campaña de Acciona que venimos comentando forma parte del Zotal en cuestión, pues Acciona es uno de los patrocinadores del evento.
Eso sí, el mundillo está afilando también sus armas y no sólo por el inevitable y notable portal anti-exposición; unos "yes men" locales ya están empezando a rasgar la cortina. Permanezcan atentos.
Volviendo al anuncio, estoy de acuerdo en que la campaña de Acciona tiene trampa. No sólo porque forme parte, como se ve en la segunda entrega del anuncio (que recupera técnicas de animación stop-motion... ¡qué puristas!), de dorar la pildora del moderno pelotazo verde, los biocombustibles (proyecto supraideológico de conversión del campo en fuente de suministro para el automóvil y en escapatoria de precios justos de los combustibles fósiles; para el caso Acciona, junto a REPSOL, prevé "hasta seis plantas de biodiésel en España con una producción que rebasará el millón de toneladas anuales ... supondrá una inversión de 300 millones de euros. La materia prima utilizada serán aceites vegetales de primer uso... fomentarán la producción de aceites vegetales en la
agricultura española, sector que podría dedicar entre 200.000 y 300.000 hectáreas de regadío al cultivo de la materia prima necesaria para esta finalidad".). No sólo porque Acciona saque beneficios de estos pelotazos ecológicos, presentándolos como solución maravillosa a una crisis venidera, sin renunciar a los habituales.
Para el anuncio, el problema es que el desarrollo urbano actual representa "la civilización" y que ante la crisis ecológica podemos perder esas ciudades, "la civilización".
Fea premisa.
El desarrollo urbano actual es la jauría, el mayor enemigo de la delicadeza y el cuidado de sí. Poca falta ha hecho esa civilización para llegar a obras como ésta; y pocas cosas más tenemos que perder.
