Eduardo Haro Tecglen ha fallecido. Esta es la noticia que hemos visto reflejada en su blog personal donde día tras día publicaba sus impresiones sobre este mundo.

Nos hemos quedado solos
El enorme corazón de Eduardo dejó de funcionar a las 3:30 de la madrugada. Según su expreso deseo sus restos han sido donados a la ciencia, por lo que no se celebrará ningún tipo de ceremonia, ni tan siquiera un velatorio en el cual sabemos que se habría sentido muy incómodo; esa impenitente timidez.
En su lugar, se celebrará un acto de despedida que anunciaremos en cuanto estén confirmados la forma, el lugar y la hora.
Mientras tanto los amigos y la familia agradecemos a todos aquellos que leen este blog y expresan sus sentimientos, del tipo y significado que sean, que mantengan con sus comentarios su recuerdo y su espíritu.

Carta a Eduardo Haro Tecglen

Escribo pensando en ti, Eduardo Haro, admirado y veterano compañero.
Pensando en ti y por tanto en nosotros, los que nos aprovechamos de tu lucidez, los que muchas veces hemos visto escrito por ti justo eso que pensábamos o que hacía falta fuera dicho, y con esa difícil capacidad de síntesis, casi imposible, de "visto/oido"; los que otras veces hemos notado removerse nuestra conciencia también la consciencia- tras leerte; los que
hemos aprendido de otros tiempos que tú sí viviste.
Pienso en todos nosotros, muchos de los cuales ya se fueron.
Antes de escribir la carta que me ha rondado durante todo el día,
pregunto en la redacción de El País por tu estado y me dicen que igual, en coma.
Quisiera tener la alegría y sorpresa de volver a leer tu columna, esa
que ha hecho que desde hace años yo lea El País como los árabes, por atrás, para asegurarme el haberte leído antes de un repentino y más que posible hartazgo de ciertas noticias. Pero el color rojo de las granadas de mi jardín me trae la emoción de lo contrario y te veo dejándonos a nuestra suerte, como hizo el amigo Manolo Vázquez, y otros antes que él.
A un hombre con tanta vida detrás, que ha pensado tanto y que lo ha escrito para nosotros a diario y encima resumido, a un hombre como eres tú,no le deseo otra muerte que la que te amenaza estando en coma. Si a caso, durmiendo la siesta tras esa comida con el editor, de la que hoy nos habla el periódico en explicación de tu ausencia. Quizás esto vaya en contra de lo que pareciera uno de tus principios, ser y estar lúcido.
Pienso también en quienes no se enteran, que tiempo ya han tenido, en quienes no han querido enterarse y en los enemigos a ultranza, que no se curarán nunca.
Pienso también en tus hijos y personas cercanas.
Quisiera amigo mío que ³Cuba² no sea tu última columna y que el 17 de
octubre -de 2005- no sea el último día de tu comparecencia pública. Tiene guasa el calendario, yo que no creo en el destino pero tampoco en las casualidades.
Comprenderás que en un momento así, sienta y exprese mi más profundo agradecimiento por haber tenido acceso a tus ideas y con ellas al verdadero sentido de la ciudadanía, en un país en el que como en todos, creo- los buenos pagan mucho más por sus errores que los malos.
Se que si en unos días te repones y lees estas líneas, van a darte satisfacción y me estarás agradecido. Entonces te regalaré mi primer disco y ahí verás que mi aprecio viene de lejos. Entonces estaremos de celebración.
