The Unseen Art of William S. Burroughs, si, DEAD AIM, y la cosa consta de varias partes.

Este de arriba por ejemplo es un retrato de Jack el destripador hecho por el padrino del beat en el que podemos observar una serie de agujeros ... nada, unos disparos realizados sobre los dibujos por el propio Burroughs con su escopeta ...

¿ no es ese el inventor del cut and paste ?, si, ese que nos contaba historias, historias reales a base de frases cortas, aparentemente inconexas, sin sentido academicamente literario que hablaban de la ley del mínimo esfuerzo, de como inyectarse heroina en la celda de cualquier cárcel de cualquier pueblecito sin tener una jeringuilla ni un cuentagotas, ese tipo que nos explicaba el vademecum cuando éramos jóvenes y llevábamos el libro en el bolsillo como si fuera la biblia, y nos contaba con detalle como se destilaba este fármaco para los dolores menstruales hasta dejarlo en puro opio y en que proporción y que medicamentos baratos había que pedir sin receta en las farmacias para conseguirlo... ¿ acaso no era ese William Burroughs ? el viajero, el sin techo, el puro yonky.
Pues bien, parece que es ese mismo tipo que ya de viejecito y aclamado y reconocido por los sectores mas vanguardistas (y ahora también por los modernos y académicos) aun seguía buscando el verdadero peligro como forma de vida, y no como forma de muerte. Ningún yonky busca la muerte.

WSB superó la muerte en su primer chute, eso es algo que generalmente se desconoce de los yonkys. ¿ pero qué es la muerte ? ¿ acaso Burroughs ha muerto ?
Se multiplican los homenajes y reconocimientos a Burroughs, estos días también en "la casa encendida" con un ciclo de películas, eso está bien, o estaría bien si realmente sirviese para algo, ¿ quien lee a Burroughs ? y mientras tanto seguimos condenando a los otros yonkies a la muerte por el sida o en la carcel, no pasa nada, WSB era un artista, igual que Artaud, igual que Duchamp, igual todos esos locos y alucinados del siglo VEINTE.¿ cuantos ? = muchos, muchos.
¿ que quiero decir con esto ?
Lo mismo que decían todos estos tipos Duchamp, Artaud, Burroughs ... que el arte apesta !!!
que hay que terminar de una vez con los artistas de la misma forma que hay que acabar con los políticos, con los bussines man y con el mismo dios hasta que podamos encontrarnos a nosotros mismos, o con una aproximación de lo que somos. Que hay un camino entre el estado de bienestar y la guerra que aun no hemos transitado y que ese camino pasa por conocernos a nosotros mismos y para ello, si es preciso, cuestionar nuestra propia existencia y quien somos y de donde venimos y adonde vamos.

hubo una época en la que se utilizaron recursos artísticos para provocar esa reflexión, alguna reacción.
